My Journey

I know what it feels like to rely on medications to feel better and “treat” my health problems. For years I suffered from chronic health conditions like cystic acne, asthma, and irritable bowel syndrome. I went to many doctors visits and took a lot of different medications. Nothing truly helped or solved my problems. I was told I would “grow out of” my acne for years (it never went away on its own), live with asthma and deal with my irritable bowel syndrome. Needless to say, I felt broken, damaged and very insecure due to my health issues. It negatively impacted my self-image and my feelings of worth and love for myself. I wasn’t living a happy or healthy life.

I entered pharmacy school when I was twenty years old, accepting my fate that I would be one of the unhealthy people relying on medications to treat my health issues. My experiences during my rotations and working at the hospital sparked a deep desire to want to reclaim my health and not end up chronically sick. I saw how much people were suffering, and I did not want that to be my fate or my identity.

It took years of researching different nutrition and lifestyle factors and implementing them (not always successfully)  into my life before I was able to nail down a healthy lifestyle that fits into my life. Believe me, when I say, I understand the frustration of struggling to find what works best for you. My struggles have led me to become the healthiest and happiest version of myself, and they have inspired me to help you discover the same.

Yours in health,
